About Dr. Giesswein
Peter Giesswein, M.D. graduated from the medical school at Albert Ludwig’s University in Freiburg, Germany . He completed residency training in General Surgery at York Hospital, and his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at The Pennsylvania State University—Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Giesswein completed an Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship in Los Angeles and has done advanced training under internationally respected plastic surgeons in Los Angeles, Brazil, and Germany.
He is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery in both Germany and the United States. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the co-founder and member of the German Association for Plastic Surgeons, Chapter Berlin. Dr. Giesswein was selected to be listed in the 2004-2005 Guide to America’s Top Surgeons, published by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, based on his experience, training, professional associations, and board certifications.
I was referred to Dr. Giesswein by my medical doctor’s office due to an infected cyst in front of my left ear. Miriam drained it and then yesterday Dr. Giesswein removed the sac so it wouldn’t come back. Everyone in the office is very nice and friendly. The procedure was almost painless. Dr. Giesswein said that the worst part was injecting the medicine to numb it. I hardly felt that. I would recommend their office to anyone needing any kind of dermatology or plastic surgery.
